A little over 3000 loyal fans saw the Mustangs play the Brewers at Dehler Park Thursday evening. The final score was 4-0 in favor of the home team. The game was played in just under two hours.
Daniel Tuttle, who pitched so well in the home opener against Great Falls did even better this evening: 6 innings, 9 strikeouts, 2 walks and only 2 hits. He was helped by some good defensive play with a couple of double plays while he was pitching and a sparkling 5-4-3 double play to get left-handed pitcher Blaine Howell out of trouble in the 8th. Second baseman Hamilton looked good and his arm was strong. Hitting was timely and Kaskow whacked an opposite field home run just fair into the 329 Club area. Right-handed pitcher Jim Walzcak finished up with a strong 9th inning.
Our guys are running and seem to have figured out the strike zone. Outfield play is still a little ragged. This is a two game winning streak.
This is a small experiment in the blogosphere. "If you have no interest in what it's like to grow old, what follows is not for you. However, if it's going to happen to you, and the outcome is ultimately going to be negative, then finding a way to make the process as bearable, even as enjoyable as possible, might be worth a little attention."—from John Jerome's On Turning Sixty-Five
