Hi Ken and Carol,

Lovely photo. The bananas look fresh and green. Are they ripe? Some bananas are green in my town and yet they are ripe but they are not very sweet and is a favorite of people suffering from diabetes.

Have a wonderful day,
Joseph

Hi Joseph

Thanks for your comment. No they are not ripe. Usually green bananas aren't this vivid and they ripen in a matter of days. I will keep checking on these and maybe ask the manager how often he re-stocks them. They are "organically" grown which I think means without pesticides.

“In beholding old stones we may feel our anxieties about our achievements–and lack of them–slacken . . . Vast landscapes [and seascapes] can have an anxiety–reducing effect similar to ruins, for they are the representatives of infinite space, as ruins are the representatives of infinite time, against which our weak, short-lived bodies seem no less inconsequential than those of moths or spiders.”—Alain de Botton in Status Anxiety
